Marr Sans Condensed Font Family

Condensed typefaces, amongst them the sans form, developed in the early 19th century as a way to increase the scale and volume of type in advertising. A display font with soft edges and calligraphic feel is the main inspiration for Arima project. It has a low contrast to allow good rendering on screen. Legibility is always a central concern, but the design has a lot of personality to be recognizable as a display font to be used in headlines, brand names, and similar uses on the web.

The Show Card collection of four poster fonts, Boadway Poster, Poster Gothic, Girder Poster, and Cooper Poster were all inspired by showcard lettering samples featured in the book, "Commercial Art of Show Card Lettering" by James Eisenberg, published by D.
